Recently, Dr. Zhao Junliang from Shanghai Berma Enterprise Development Grou was invited to Xi'an Jiaotong University to deliver a wonderful lecture on the overview of vacuum physical vapor deposition (PVD).
Dr. Zhao, as a core expert in the field of materials science for the Berma Enterprise Development Group, graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University both with a bachelor's and a master's degree. With a profound academic background and rich practical experience, he has attracted many graduate students in materials science from Xi'an Jiaotong University to attend this lecture.

At the beginning of the lecture, Dr. Zhao Junliang first introduced the basic principles and development history of PVD technology to the teachers and students. He elaborated on the significant position of PVD technology in the field of film preparation, as well as its crucial role in enhancing material performance and promoting industrial upgrading. Through vivid examples and in-depth analysis, Dr. Zhao enabled the teachers and students present to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of PVD technology.

Subsequently, Dr. Zhao Junliang focused on introducing the different categories of PVD coating technology and their applications. He elaborated on the characteristics and advantages of vacuum evaporation coating, vacuum sputtering coating, and vacuum ion coating, and, by using practical examples, explained how these technologies are applied in semiconductor electronics, flat panel displays, new energy photovoltaics, automobiles, aerospace, biomedicine and other fields. Dr. Zhao's explanation was clear and easy to understand, enabling the students present to have a more intuitive understanding of these technologies.

At the climax of the lecture, Dr. Zhao Junliang also shared the research achievements and innovative practices of him and the Centaurus Group in the field of developing new electrochromic smart glass using PVD technology. He introduced the innovative measures and results achieved by the team in optimizing the PVD coating process for large-sized glass, developing new materials, and improving performance.

Furthermore, Dr. Zhao also made a prediction about the future development of PVD technology. He believes that with the continuous advancement of technology and the increasing demand for applications, PVD technology will be applied in more fields and is expected to achieve higher performance improvements and lower costs. He encouraged the graduate students present to pay attention to the cutting-edge of technology, be courageous in exploring innovation, and contribute their own efforts to the future development of science and technology.


After the lecture, Dr. Zhao Junliang also engaged in interactive communication with the teachers and students present. He patiently answered the questions raised by the students and shared his academic insights and career experiences. His professional knowledge and enthusiastic attitude earned rounds of applause and high praise from the teachers and students present.
